🔥 POSTAL WORKERS THREATEN STRIKE OVER ICE OPERATIONS IN MINNESOTA

Published

on

Postal workers in Minnesota are escalating protests — and now threatening to strike — over U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations tied to USPS property.

Here’s what’s going on:

📍 Protests & Demands
Members of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 9, along with activist groups, have held rallies in Minneapolis demanding that ICE stop using postal facilities and parking lots as staging areas. Protest signs included “ICE OUT OF MN!” and “RETURN TO SENDER.”

⚠️ Safety Claims
Union leaders say ICE agents operating in tactical gear and carrying firearms near post offices create an unsafe environment for postal workers and the public.

✉️ Strike Threats
Postal workers have openly warned they may strike if ICE continues using USPS property. A coalition of unions and activist groups is even calling for a general strike on January 23, 2026, urging workers to call in sick and consumers not to shop.
