Taylor Swift Celebrates Travis Kelce’s Birthday With a Blink-and-You’ll-Miss-It Easter Egg

Taylor Swift may act like it’s her birthday everyday—that’s a The Tortured Poet’s Department reference for non-Swifties—but today is Travis Kelce’s special day. And in true T.Swift fashion, the singer celebrated her fiancé’s milestone with an Easter egg. Right on the heels of the release of her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, Swift commemorated Kelce’s 36th birthday with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it reference in her new “The Fate of Ophelia” music video.

Over the course of the video, Swift dances, rocks multiple hair transformations, and plays a showgirl performing in a variety of different scenes. Toward the end of the video, Swift appears to portray herself, returning to her signature golden blonde hair and bangs while being pushed down a hallway on a cart in fuzzy blue jacket and a bedazzled fringe chainmail dress created by Kelsey Randall. When she sings the lyrics, “Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes,” a football soars through the air. The pop star catches the ball before tossing it behind her, clear referencing her tight-end fiancé and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelce has his special day off as the Chiefs will face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars Monday at 8:15 p.m. E.T., meaning that he and Swift had all weekend to celebrate not just his birthday but also her new album.

Back in August, Swift and Kelce announced their engagement with the sweetest carousel of photos from the proposal. In the snaps, Kelce can be seen down on one knee before embracing his bride-to-be.
