BREAKING NEWS: TEARS ON THE GRAMMY STAGE — A 12-WORD TRIBUTE THAT BROUGHT THE AUDIENCE TO SILENCE.

Under the dazzling yet poignant lights of the 2026 awards ceremony, Sharon Osbourne couldn’t hold back her tears as she stepped onto the stage to congratulate Yungblud after his win. That moment was also a farewell to her idol — Ozzy Osbourne — six months after his tragic passing, which left an irreplaceable void. Amidst the fading applause, Sharon spoke only 12 words, slowly, trembling, enough to transform an awards ceremony into a memorial, where music, loss, and legacy intersected in a fragile, heartbreaking moment.

Sharon Osbourne broke down in tears as she took to the stage during the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.

Ahead of the ceremony’s tribute to her late husband Ozzy, six months on from his death, British rocker Yungblud won Best Rock Perfomance for his cover of the singer’s hit Changes at Black Sabbath’s final 2025 concert at Villa Park, Birmingham.

Taking to the mic during the Premiere Ceremony which dished out awards ahead of the main event, Yungblud, real name Dominic Richard Harrison, paid tribute to ‘idol’ Ozzy in a foul-mouth speech.

He said: ‘To grow up loving an idol , who helps you figure out your identity, not only as a musician, but also a man, is something I really grateful for’.

‘But to then get to know them and honour them at their final show and receive this [his award] is something I am struggling to comprehend, we f*****g love you Ozzy’.

A tearful Sharon watched on as he continued: ‘The last time I saw Ozzy Osbourne, he asked me if there was anything he could do for me, and that the “music was enough”‘.
