Iran’s UN Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani has written a letter to the UN secretary-general demanding compensation from the UAE over what he claims is complicity in US attacks on Iran, according to Iran’s Nournews.

In the letter, Iravani said that by making its territory available to the US for its attacks, the UAE had engaged in “an internationally wrongful act ⁠that entailed state responsibility”.

He ⁠claimed the UAE had an international responsibility to provide ‌reparation, including compensation for all material and moral ‌damages ‌incurred.

Since the US-Israel war on Iran began, Tehran’s retaliatory attacks have persisted in several Gulf states. The UAE has borne the brunt of those attacks.
