Travis Kelce keeps fans in suspense on joining Taylor Swift on stage

NFL star Travis Kelce’s second career as a Taylor Swift backup dancer may be getting an encore.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end sent Swifties wild when he appeared on stage for a routine with his pop-star girlfriend at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 22.

Asked during an ongoing celebrity golf tournament near Lake Tahoe, Nevada if he’d be making another on-stage cameo, Kelce opted to play coy.

‘I can’t let anything out of the bag,’ Kelce said. ‘But right now, I’m in full football mode after golf.’

Kelce’s Chiefs start training camp on July 26, giving the couple a limited amount of time to celebrate their one-year anniversary. And according to Us Weekly, the couple is considering marking the occasion with another ‘special moment.’

‘Travis’ schedule is getting crazy again soon [and they] wanted to do something cool while he was there [and] create something memorable for fans,’ a source told Us.

Swift’s Eras tour is currently on its way to Germany.

Kelce’s appearance with Swift at Wembley involved a bit of acting as he pretended to revive the seemingly exhausted singer alongside several of her other dancers.

A lip reader known to Instagram as @tismejackieg claims to have deciphered the couple’s one-stage back and forth.

‘Wake up! Wake up!’ the Kansas City Chiefs star supposedly yelled while carrying Swift across the stage at Wembley.

The top-hatted Kelce dramatically fanned Swift before telling her: ‘You get back out there!’

This back and forth continued.

‘I don’t want to—ugh,’ she replied.

‘Get back out there!’ he shot back.

No, this wasn’t Shakespeare at the Globe. But for Swifties in London – and maybe some Chiefs fans back in Kansas City – it qualified as captivating.

Kelce has since discussed the moment during a recent episode of his podcast, New Heights.

‘It’s very unlike me,’ Kelce told his brother, Jason. ‘I’m not big, I don’t like going on stages. There were a lot of people out there, really didn’t feel at home.’

He also explained how the performance came out.

‘I initially mentioned to Tay, I was like, ‘How funny would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989 [set]?’

‘She started laughing, she was like, ‘Would you seriously be up for doing something like that?’

Kelce didn’t hesitate.

‘I was like, ‘I would love to do that, are you kidding me?’ he said. ‘I’ve seen the show enough, might as well put me to work here. And sure enough, she found the perfect part of the show for me to come in.’
