During Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025, held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Taylor Swift attended to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
When Swift appeared on the stadium’s Jumbotron, a significant number of Philadelphia Eagles fans in attendance responded with boos. Swift reacted by giving a side-eye glance toward the camera before sharing a laugh with her friend, rapper Ice Spice, who was seated beside her. She was also seen mouthing, “What is going on?”
In defense of Swift, tennis legend Serena Williams took to X (formerly Twitter), writing, “I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!”
Swift has previously addressed the attention she receives at NFL games, stating in a December 2023 interview with Time magazine, “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
Despite the mixed reactions from fans, Swift’s presence at the game underscores her support for Kelce and her connection to the NFL community.
