During Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025, Taylor Swift faced boos from Philadelphia Eagles fans when shown on the Jumbotron at Caesars Superdome.
Her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, felt “helpless” and “heartbroken” witnessing her discomfort. The negative reaction stemmed from some Eagles fans viewing Swift, a Pennsylvania native and former Eagles supporter, as a “traitor” for now dating Kelce.
Following the incident, President Donald Trump mocked Swift on social media, stating she was “booed out of the stadium” and adding, “MAGA is very unforgiving!”
Prior to the game, Kelce had expressed that it was a “great honor” to have President Trump attend the Super Bowl, despite Trump’s past criticisms of Swift.
As of now, Kelce has not publicly responded to Trump’s recent comments about Swift.
