President Donald Trump has named the US officials who will help oversee the country’s engagement in the situation in Venezuela. He made the announcement in an interview with NBC News.

Accordingly US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, and US Vice President JD Vance will participate in the governing of Venezuela.

But when asked who will ultimately be in charge, Trump answered with one word: “Me.”

In the same interview, the US president added that Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, who was sworn in as acting president after the US abduction of former president Nicolas Maduro, was cooperating with US officials.

The American leader noted, however, that there was no contact with Rodriguez before the US operation in Venezuela. Moreover, the US president insinuated that if Rodriguez stops cooperating with the US, the latter may launch a second military intervention in Venezuela.
