🇺🇸 TRUTH CHECK: We Don’t “Worship” Trump… We’re Just Tired of a Media Double Standard..

One of the biggest lies people repeat about Trump supporters is this:

“You people worship him.”
“You are in a CULT”

No.

Most of us are doing something far more normal than that..

We’re defending the president we voted for… because we’ve watched the media treat him in a way they simply do not treat other presidents…

Criticism is fair… Scrutiny is fair.

What’s not fair is when the rules change depending on the name…

Now This is the part where people tend to resort to saying things like “well that is just not true”

So let’s talk facts…

First: the claim that the media isn’t uniquely negative toward Trump is not true…

Pew Research Center studied coverage of Trump’s first 60 days and found that 62% of stories were negative…
Pew also found that was about three times more negative than Obama’s early coverage (20%), and roughly twice as negative as Bush and Clinton (28% each).

And Pew later compared early coverage of Biden and found it was far more mixed: 32% negative, 23% positive, and 45% neither positive nor negative.

That’s not “conservative feelings.” That’s content analysis…

Even media watchdog groups have quantified the tone…

The Media Research Center claimed 92% negative network evening news coverage of Trump’s first 100 days.

I’m not saying you have to trust MRC as your only source ..I’m saying the broader pattern aligns with what Pew found too: the negativity toward Trump is measurable…

Now let’s talk about how this double standard plays out in real life…

Example one: immigration enforcement.

People talk like “ICE doing home operations” is some new evil that only exists under Trump.

That’s not true…

Under Obama, ICE carried out multi-state home raids too, including a January 2016 operation where immigration authorities arrested more than 120 people in raids targeting Central American families with removal orders….

So the concept of interior enforcement and home arrests wasn’t invented in 2025 or 2026…

The difference is that when Obama did it, many people framed it as “enforcing the law,” and when Trump does it, the language escalates into “Nazis,” “kidnapping,” and “Gestapo.”
Now Anne Frank and the holocaust is the newest “parallel”

That’s not policy debate …that’s propaganda framing.. and it is outrageous..

Example two: press access and “transparency.”

Trump gets labeled “secretive” and “corrupt” nonstop, but on the basic question of press availability, he’s objectively more accessible….

Multiple outlets reporting on a National Journal tally said Trump took 1,009 questions from reporters in his first month of his second term, compared with 141 questions for Biden in his first month, and 161 for Obama in his first month.

Meanwhile we all watched Biden walk away multiple times in the middle of press conferences.. but I can not recall a single time a reporter criticized him about it..

You don’t have to like Trump to admit the obvious: answering far more press questions is not the behavior of someone “hiding.”

Example three: Biden’s condition and media accountability..

After Biden’s debate performance in 2024, as well as other incidents we had seen… major outlets rarely reported or addressed his obvious signs of decline on camera.. Biden looked confused in many ways, answered questions in strange ways, referring to himself as senator multiple times… it was obvious..

Yet, VP Harris and othet officials denied it..

Meanwhile, Trump’s cognitive fitness has been questioned constantly for years.. even when no comparable “official report moment” existed in the same way…

That contrast is exactly why people feel gaslit…

And then there’s the bigger pattern:
Trump is treated as uniquely illegitimate, uniquely criminal, uniquely dangerous.. even when he’s using tools, authorities, or enforcement approaches that presidents in both parties have used…

So no, we don’t “worship” Trump…

We’re pushing back against a system that tells us:

When our side does something, it’s evil.
When their side does the same thing, it’s normal.
When Trump wins, it’s hysteria.
When they win, it’s “democracy.”

Fair reporting doesn’t mean “never criticize Trump.”

It means criticize him accurately, with evidence, consistently …and apply the same standard to everyone else…

Because if the media wants trust back, the answer isn’t more labels…

It’s fairness.. which is ALL we want.
