The Kuwait Defence Ministry said Monday that several US warplanes crashed, but with no fatalities among the crews.

The statement comes after footage emerged on social media of a US fighter jet, believed to be an F-15E Strike Eagle, crashing in Kuwait, amid the joint US-‘Israeli’ operation against Iran.

The footage showed the pilot safely ejecting before the jet hit the ground. Some reports said the incident was due to “friendly fire”.

The statement added that Kuwaiti authorities are in “direct coordination” with the United States army regarding the incident.
