Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged — and while fans might expect a glamorous Hollywood-style wedding, insiders reveal the couple is planning something very different.
According to Page Six, the pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end want a “casual” and “private” ceremony with close family and friends.
“It will be more casual than people think,” an insider shared, just a day after the couple announced their engagement on Instagram with the playful caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Travis Kelce’s proposal didn’t go as planned
While their engagement post charmed fans worldwide, Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, revealed that the proposal itself wasn’t exactly what his son envisioned.
“He was going to put her off ‘til this week, to make some grand thing, to make it a big special event,” Ed told News 5 Cleveland. Despite the hiccup, the proposal was heartfelt — and clearly unforgettable for Taylor.
Beyond the wedding talk, Taylor’s engagement ring has already become a sensation. Designed by Kinder Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, the Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond is valued between $675,000 and $1 million.

The Swift–Kelce love story began in 2023, after Taylor’s Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium. Although the NFL star couldn’t meet her backstage at the time, the pair soon connected — and their relationship has since unfolded in front of millions.
Swift was often seen cheering for Kelce at Chiefs games, while he supported her at multiple Eras Tour shows, which grossed over $2 billion globally.
